New Entrant Course

Become a Gas Safe Registered Engineer!

This training provides you with the crucial knowledge and Qualifications you require to work as a Gas Safe Registered Engineer. 

 

The course is broken down into 3 stages.

Stage 1 – In Centre Theory and Practical Training

This is where you learn all required skills to become a gas engineer. This generally takes around 6 weeks full time (Tuesday-Friday), or around 6 months part time (Saturdays or Evenings). The training is all completed at our centre in Welham Green, Hatfield AL9.  The training is broken down into 6 modules. We have designed the course to be as flexible as possible. Each module is 4 days long, you can either do all modules in one go on either the Weekday, Saturday or Evening classes . 

Stage 2- Portfolio Building

This part is where you go out onsite with a Qualified Gas Safe Registered Engineer. You will be assisting the engineer in their day to day activities. Whilst being a valuable to learn skills onsite you will also be practicing the skills you have learnt in the centre and logging this in your portfolio. We guarantee to place you with an engineer however you are free to do it with any Gas Safe registered engineer of your choosing. .

 

Stage 3 Refresher Training and Final Acs Exams

The first part is attending a refresher training week where you will go over all the skills you have learnt in the centre and onsite. This will finish with a practical evaluation in preparation for your final assessments. You will then book onto your acs exams which take around a week to complete and consist of a mixture of multiple choice theory exams and practical assessments.

End of Course Review

Once everything is complete you will book in to a session with your mentor to discuss your future goals. Your mentor will then assist by creating a plan. They will also assist and advise you in getting you started out in your new career. This included everything from cv building, job searching, becoming self employed, purchasing the right tools and equipment and other assistance you may require.

 

Cost

The total cost for the course is £3950.

This can be paid in instalments on a pay as you go basis or with finance subject to status.
